Position Overview:

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager with Construction industry experience to join their team in Concord. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where the successful candidate will support various financial functions. This role is 100% onsite and provides the potential for either temporary-to-hire or direct hire, depending on the candidate's fit and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Manage collections and ensure timely receipt of payments.
• Oversee lien processes to protect company interests.
• Monitor Work In Progress (WIP) accounts and provide updates as necessary.
• Prepare and analyze Balance Sheets and Income Statements to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct Aging reports to track outstanding receivables and payables.
• Administer payroll processes ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve financial operations and reporting.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of financial statements including Balance Sheets and Income Statements.
• Experience with collections, liens, and WIP accounts.
• Proficiency in managing payroll processes.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
